Whistle blowing

Whistle blowing is when an employee reports a suspected wrongdoing in the workplace. These include illegal activities and neglecting duties such as criminal conduct, danger to health and safety of any individual, damage to the environment, etc. Blowing the whistle is formally known as making a disclosure in the public interest. Any disclosure should be made in the public interest to an employee or a relevant organisation.  An employee who is dismissed because of whistle blowing may claim unfair dismissal.
