Settlement Agreements

Settlement Agreements (previously known as Compromise Agreements) are legally binding agreements that set out the full terms of a settlement between an employer and employee and these are normally used to settle disputes on the termination of employment. This is the most common way of settling disputes usually following negotiations.  As well as making sure that an employee is sufficiently compensated upon the termination of employment Settlement Agreements can be an effective means for dealing with issues including future references and restrictions.
